US Electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla Motors will open its newest showroom this week in Denmark.
Tesla’s latest venture will lie in the heart of Copenhagen, recognised as one of the world’s most environmentally friendly cities.
US Ambassador to Denmark, Laurie S. Fulton, will be guest of honour at the opening today (July 1), where guests can avail of test drives.
The zero-emission Roadster spears Telsa's founding goal which is is to produce energy-efficient cars for mass-market. The company is based in California’s Silicon Valley, and has, to date, delivered 1,000 cars to 25 countries, and has forged strategic alliances with Daimler and Toyota to produce zero-emission cars.
The Roadster accelerates faster than other sports cars and consumes no fossil fuels in the process and plugs into conventional electric sockets to re-charge.
Tesla has four other showrooms in Europe: Zurich, Munich, Monaco and London and eight showrooms in North America.
